"Hey there! I'm Alexis. I'm currently a senior Chemistry major studying in Atlanta. I do undergraduate research and I am passionate about environmental sustainability!

I make lesson plans that introduce the material in an engaging way, so that you actually feel like it's something familiar to you in some way. I like to teach the material using sample problems, so you can apply what you learn as you go. However, my biggest priority is adjusting to what the student needs. Everyone learns differently, and there is no one right way to learn. I have 5 years of experience with one-on-one tutoring with students of varying ages and abilities with math, science, and writing.

Currently, my favorite class is inorganic chemistry. I know that may sound crazy to some, but I love it.

I have deep appreciation for the sciences, not just for what it is but also its history and the art of it. One thing I learned is that, when it comes to science classes, the experience the teacher creates for the students is really what sets the whole tone for the rest of the course.

I know that some instructors have ruined science and math classes for students, and I hope I can help show you that science and math are incredible and they can actually be fun (believe it or not!). You just have to be dedicated and willing to make mistakes.
