"Hello, my name is Lynn! I have been teaching college chemistry for my entire career since receiving my PhD in organic chemistry, and have recently retired. As a full-time faculty member, I had the pleasure of conducting research with undergraduates, serving as an advisor to chemistry majors, and teaching numerous courses in my department, predominantly those for chemistry, biology and pre-med students. I specialized in both developing and teaching Organic Chemistry courses, but have also taught General Chemistry.

I believe that it is possible to succeed in chemistry if one takes a disciplined approach to learning and practicing the principles. I teach by using many applied examples, and I stress the importance of learning through guided practice and problem sets. My goal is to instill confidence in my students to help them not only navigate through and succeed in organic chemistry, but also develop good study habits and skills that will serve them well in their other science and college courses." less...
