"I am interested in helping chemistry students to have success in chemistry. My educational background includes a B.A. in zoology from Rutgers University in 1983 and a PH.D. in organic chemistry in 1990 from the University of Utah in 1990. I did post doctoral research at the University of Illinois from 1990-1992. I worked several years in chemical industry before making the decision to become a chemistry teacher in the state of NJ in 1995. I worked in NJ as a chemistry teacher until November 2020.

I have been a chemistry teacher in NJ for over 25 years. I have taught cp chemistry, honors chemistry and AP chemistry. I have just retired from teaching this year. Teaching chemistry was an exciting and rewarding career. I continue to have the desire to help students with chemistry through tutoring. During the course of my career I was fortunate to not only spend time helping my own students but also tutoring students from other school districts. I love helping students with chemistry and enjoy seeing them improve in problem solving capabilities.
