"I am a native of the Bay Area who graduated from Saint Ignatius College Prep ("SI") as a high school student. After SI, I earned a B.S. degree in Chemistry from UC Berkeley and a PhD in Chemistry at Columbia University. I have been working as a Chemist and Chemistry Teacher for more than 20 years. Over my career I have instructed and tutored students in Chemistry from many different backgrounds, abilities and educational levels. Most pertinent to tutoring is my experience with ‘one-to-one’ Chemistry teaching and mentoring. In this role I have learned to patiently teach Chemistry to individuals with little or no prior subject knowledge and I am happy to tailor my teaching and mentoring to meet their specific academic level and way of learning.
