"My inspiration to tutor derives from being a mother and a teacher. My own son has struggled with academia and a traditional school setting from which I understand the need for tutors who care deeply for a student's educational abilities and needs. I have seen first hand different learning styles and abilities of students of all ages. I have taught in a traditional classroom and have substitute taught in various grades in which I was able to differentiate the instruction and curriculum as needed.

I enjoy working with students individually and in a small group setting because it allows me to get to know them and understand what their specific needs and abilities are. I work well with students of all ages and would like the opportunity to continue to encourage one's academic success through tutoring.

Grammar is one of my strong suits as I believe it represents who you are through writing and through speech. I have had to learn to be exceptional at grammar throughout my own educational career and appreciate its importance.

I have a Masters Degree in Education and have been certified to teach the Common Core curriculum.

Most of my teaching experience is in K-6th grades and also in pre-k. I enjoy working with grade school aged children in which I believe their love for learning and educational ambitions develop at an early age. I understand that many students struggle in a traditional classroom setting and may need an alternative way to learn. My skills and experience working with children allows me to instruct and guide them through their education while being sensitive to their individual needs.
