"I have started my fourth year as a certified Special Education teacher. This is my passion to help student close the gaps that they have with their peers. Last year my students had the showed the most growth in the entire state of UT according to state tests. I love working with my students find so much joy watching them grow and improve.

In my personal life I have 4 children of my own. My oldest 3 are boys with our baby girl as the caboose. One of my sons has ASD while another has ADHD. So not only in my professional life as a teacher am I used to working on a student’s level to help them grow, I have had to take the same approach in my personal life at home.

I have a dual certification in Special Education k-12 as well as a general elementary teaching certificate grades k-8

I have 3 years of experience working with students with special needs in reading to help them grow in fluency and comprehension.

Along with my personal experience with a child who has ASD, I have worked with other students on the spectrum with phonics and other subjects and have seen progress with these students.

As a SPED teacher I have worked with students who have a difficult time learning the rules of phonics and how to apply them.
