"I have had the honor of earning 18 years experience teaching both middle and high school sciences in VA public schools. I basically have taught all secondary sciences grades 6 - 12 (Bio, Chem, Env Sci, Eco, A&P, Physical, Life, 6th grade Gen Sci). I also have been a Varsity and JV Head Football Coach as well as an assistant. I also have coached T&F, wrestling, and baseball. I also have served as a strength and conditioning coordinator. I have two children and am currently working on a double masters degrees in Administration & Supervision as well as Biology Education.

What helps me stand out as a tutor is the fact that I have many years of experience teaching multiple subjects to multiple age groups. In VA all students must take an EOC SOL (Standardized test name in VA). Throughout the year I devote half my planning period or more to remediation for students who haven’t mastered various topics. At the end of the year I set aside numerous days for review with my classes doing what I call SOL Blitzes. I am very familiar with what topics students struggle with and have devised many “plans of attack” to assist students in those areas in fun, engaging, and effective lessons!!
