"I have a BA in History from Princeton University, where I completed my senior thesis on the events that led to the inclusion of professional athletes in the Olympic Games. I am a dual citizen with Switzerland and the US and competed with the Swiss National Team in the 1992 Olympic Games in swimming. I worked several years as a financial analyst in NYC in the mortgage and corporate bond departments before leaving the workforce to raise my five children. I am an active volunteer in the school system and township, including founding and running a girls youth lacrosse program as well as served as president of the high school lacrosse board. I also started a "Battle of the Books" program at my children's elementary school. I started working as an academic advisor at a private company five years ago and I am now looking to expand my independent counseling business.
I provide academic counseling as early as middle school through college as well as assisting with the application process for secondary schools, college, and graduate programs. Some services I provide include assistance with essay writing, application strategy, student resumes, course selection, extracurricular opportunities, test prep advice, college list, school visits, interview prep, and transfer applications. My students have been accepted to Princeton, Dartmouth, Cornell, Notre Dame, Villanova, Wisconsin, Michigan, Georgia, Villanova, Wake Forest, Northeastern, Duke, WashU, and several others. I also have experience with students with learning differences, ADHD, and anxiety, including applying to colleges with structured support. I understand the application process can be stressful, so I try to make it as fun and exciting as possible. I strive to instill curiosity and provide support in line with the student's needs. I love my job because I help students find the best in themselves and how to reach their potential." less...
