I’m a professional writer and editor with a passion for teaching. I also have experience evaluating undergraduate applications for an Ivy League university and master’s-level applications for a top-ranked public university. The college application process is exciting and daunting. It can be challenging to handle the pressure of writing when the stakes are so high, and it can feel overwhelming to try to narrow your whole self into one 650-word personal statement. It’s a joy for me to support students as they discover the stories they want to tell and create application essays they feel proud to have written.

I work with applicants at any stage of the writing process, from initial brainstorming through drafting and revision to final editing and polishing. I can help you tackle your Common App essay as well as your school-specific supplemental essays. I focus on providing support, encouragement, and powerful constructive feedback. I also offer strategic insight into how to address specific prompts and questions effectively, how to manage tone, and how to use storytelling techniques to capture and hold your reader’s attention. I often meet with students on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, offering regular guidance and feedback over the course of their college application journeys.
