"Now scheduling exclusively through Instant Book!
Whether you are looking for career help, need a reading tutor, applying for college, or are confused about writing, or need a homeschool study plan for any age, I can help!
My story:
Johns Hopkins University accepted my application, but I was offered a scholarship at another school with a strong writing program, where I first became a tutor. I was recruited out of my business writing class at Hood College to intern for Ross Perot’s company. My path led quickly to writing and editing for corporate vice presidents at a competitor. I wrote/edited training and business development materials. Freelancing clients included a major specialty publisher and the Florida Family Policy Council.
After homeschooling two dyslexic children K-12 under mentorship of a reading specialist, I began tutoring reading, writing, and SAT, AP, SSAT test prep for ages K to adult. Most recently, one of my elementary students scored 3 times the expected gains on the CA i-Ready test; we have seen 150-point SAT R/W gains.
I help clients across the US and the world.
Continuing ed: Ivy League admissions, grad school essays (Ivy League grad), and Persuasive Writing and Speaking (Harvard online).
Expectations:
Working camera is required.
Other activities during session, turning off camera, and sitting out of range from camera not accepted.

Now booking 1-2 sessions at a time; my schedule doesn't allow for weekly repeat sessions.
Subjects: SAT personal study plans; writing 6-12th grades and college essays; study skills, resumes, cover letters, and interview prep; homeschool study plans for English/humanities grades 1-12 (especially struggling readers), plus math/science through 8th grade. Yes, I can help!
