"Hi! My name is Piyusha, and I would love to help you with your applications to college, medical school, or other grad school. I graduated from Rice University in Houston, TX in 2023 with a B.A. in Cognitive Science; I am currently a medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine, in the MD/MPH program. While at Rice, I was awarded scholarships for a six-month program at the University of Oxford--through the essay-based curriculum, I learned the skills needed to craft well-written essays. In addition, it was incredibly rewarding to found an education program at a local Houston community center, for which my team and I submitted several grant proposals. After graduating from Rice, I was also awarded the Wagoner Fellowship to conduct public health research and teach in India. I believe my education at Rice and Oxford in addition to my personal experience writing application essays, research proposals, and scholarship essays will allow me to help you with a wide array of writing needs.

I really valued getting eyes on my essays while applying to both college and medical school. Along the way, I learned some great tips and tricks on how to write application essays that are well-structured, describe tangible character traits programs are looking for, and also create a narrative of your experiences. As an applicant myself, I also learned some habits and mistakes to avoid that I would be happy to share with you in our sessions. For the past five years, I have tutored students and taught classes in subjects ranging from English to Organic Chemistry.
