"Hi, I'm Chris! In my time as a physics tutor and teaching assistant in college and graduate school, I came to realize that when it comes to learning, the instructor-student relationship is as important as the subject matter. Therefore, I do not just explain how to solve problems, I strive to show my students the joy and beauty of understanding how our universe works.

Physics is known for being a very difficult subject, but it doesn't have to be. As a tutor, I strive to be patient, encouraging, and meet each student where they are. I employ the Socratic Method, guiding students with questions so that they can learn to trust in their own ability to come to the correct conclusions themselves.

I have a Master's degree in physics from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and 6 cumulative years of experience tutoring college courses in Physics 1 and 2, Electricity & Magnetism, Quantum Physics, Special Relativity, and related courses. In graduate school, I led discussion sessions for Physics and labs for Astronomy. I have a broad understanding of physics as a whole and the language of mathematics that describes it.

In my free time, I pursue creative passions including writing a sci-fi novel, maintaining a YouTube channel on science and science fiction, and studying narrative storytelling in video games. To me, it’s all part of the same thing, the endeavor to understand this incredible universe we find ourselves in!

I offer flexible online tutoring sessions on weekdays. Whether you’re a college student taking a physics class for your major or an adult who is fascinated with the subject, send me a message. I would be delighted to help you take your understanding to the next level!" less...
