"I am a college mathematics professor with over 20 years of teaching experience with several distinguished teaching awards. My approach to the mathematical sciences is that, like any kind of language, mathematics must be done in four parts: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Depending on the training, a student can excel at some of these aspects and be weaker in some others. I am able to ascertain very quickly how to maximize a student's learning potential and make significant progress in the least amount of time.

I am able to teach pre-college courses (ACT, SAT, GMAT, MCAT, LSAT, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, analytic geometry, pre-calculus, competition mathematics), college-level courses (discrete mathematics, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, number theory, statistics, combinatorics, probability, real analysis, complex analysis, abstract algebra, Galois theory, Lebesgue theory, topology, set theory, logic). I can also tutor graduate math courses like functional analysis, measure theory, group representations, and algebraic topology. Please inquire if you are interested in a course or subject not included on these lists.

If you require tutoring in a college or university course beyond calculus (e.g. linear algebra, abstract algebra, topology), please contact me for a lower rate, since there are fewer tutors who have expertise in these subjects and everyone should have access to help.

Everyone struggles with mathematics. Even students who seem to know it all can be given problems that they cannot solve. My tutoring methods are appropriate for students at all levels, from those who struggle with classroom content, to those preparing for standardized tests, to those who wish to excel beyond their classroom experience to prepare for a next course or to compete in mathematics contests. I work best with students who are highly motivated to do achieve, and who are willing to develop the discipline to do well.

The times that I am available are given in Eastern time." less...
