"Hi! My name is Rowan and I'm a Junior at Santa Clara University, studying Computer Science and Mathematics. I have plenty of experience working with children and a passion for education and problem-solving!

I've had plenty of experience working both one-on-one and in groups with children in my hometown of Seattle, WA. Most recently, I worked 3 summers as a Youth Development Provider at Kids' Club Afterschool Program, designing engaging and safe summer activities for elementary school children. Prior to that, I spent 2 Years at Team Read, a one-on-one tutoring program for elementary students who struggle with reading. At Team Read, I was a Reading Coach for one year, working directly with students to improve their reading proficiency, and subsequently was promoted to a Site Assistant the following year, overseeing and supporting an entire program of 10 coaches and 20 student readers. I also love performing music and spent a year as a Beginning Trumpet Tutor at Seattle Music Partners!

In terms of subjects, I love working with numbers and am especially proficient in topics related to math and problem-solving, but I have experience in a variety of courses! I currently have a 3.75 GPA at my university and have taken multiple calculus, statistics, and linear algebra courses, as well as US History, French, Philosophy, English, and more. In high school, I took ten AP classes and was awarded the AP Scholar With Distinction Award, the highest award given by AP.
