"I specialize in one-on-one tutoring to help students read, write, and comprehend more effectively. I love working with students of all ages and levels to help boost their reading, writing, and comprehension skills--but more importantly, to teach them to be lifelong readers and learners in general.

I worked at Lindamood Bell Learning Processes for two years, where I was trained to teach reading from the ground up: building an awareness of letter sounds, familiarizing students with common prefixes, suffixes, vowel rules and expectancies, learning to recognize words, and working on fluency and contextual reading in long-form pieces of writing. I've also worked as a private tutor for more than a year, focusing on improving student's writing by bolstering their awareness of grammar and sentence structure, but also by encouraging them to take joy in the acts of both reading and writing.
