"I have had experience with tutoring high school and later university students at several stages of my life. In high school I tutored 11th graders in SAT Math and was able to raise their scores by more than 150 points in some cases. Afterwards, while attending the University of Chicago, I became a grader for a Calculus professor and I also held office hours during which I assisted students with the material, answered their questions on the topics that they were struggling with and also solved practice problems for them. During my final year in college I enrolled in a program called Harper Tutors where I tutored first year college students in Calculus.
I have always had a passion for tutoring, even as a hobby. As someone with a younger brother, I was always in a process of sharing knowledge with someone who had less experience and I carried that feeling of patience and responsibility whenever I dealt with my students. I believe that any prospective student who commits to working with me will witness positive results in due time.
I received a score of 800 on my SAT Math (first try) and have previously tutored high school students in SAT Math with successful results. I also took many advanced math courses in college as a supplement to my economics major (including Abstract Algebra and Multivariable Analysis), so I am more than qualified to tutor SAT prep level Mathematics.
