In addition to 28 years of experience teaching general chemistry in a classroom setting, I have three semesters of experience delivering the entire content of the general chemistry courses online in a synchronous remote format. I love supporting college students in their chemistry journey and helping them navigate that demanding course confidently and successfully.
I have a professional relationship with the College Board when I served as a Visiting Fellow in Assessment. In 2022, I reviewed the AP chemistry exam and gave feedback about its level of difficulty and thoroughness of its coverage when compared a typical college general chemistry course. In 2023, I served as a Content Consultant to the College Board and reviewed the AP chemistry curriculum. I am currently an AP Reader in Chemistry. In June 2024, I scored 2071 AP chemistry exams! I am thoroughly familiar with the AP chemistry curriculum and the exam, and I love tutoring high school students and helping them prepare for the AP exam.
I am a thorough and detail-oriented person with a passion for learning, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving. As a teacher, I have a gift for motivating students and enabling them to master complicated skills and achieve goals they never thought they could reach." less...
