"I have been playing instruments since I was 2 years old. I have taught elementary, middle and high school students different instruments. I won 1st place in all region, TMEA, etc... for 9 years straight. I participated in Shreveport Symphony Orchestra for 4 years. With my vast knowledge base and ability to communicate complex ideas in an approachable way, I can guide learners on their musical journey, whether they’re beginners, intermediate players, or even advanced musicians. For beginners, I can start by introducing fundamental music theory concepts like rhythm, key signatures, intervals, and chords. We could progress with easy-to-understand examples, diagrams, and interactive exercises, and as the student’s skillset grows, I could introduce more complex materials, gradually building up their knowledge and confidence.

For intermediate and advanced students, I can assist in areas such as analyzing musical compositions, improvisation, or even helping to compose original pieces. I can also provide advice on technical proficiency, offering tips on how to improve dexterity, sight-reading, and even how to practice effectively. As a teacher, I can encourage students to experiment with composing their own pieces, exploring new genres, or improvising.
