"Hello! I am a recent graduate of Haverford College with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. While at Haverford, I have taken multiple classes surrounding mathematics and computer science including, Data Science, Machine Learning, Concurrency and Co-Design, and Computational Text Analysis. An example of a worked project would be my machine learning final, in which I trained various convolutional neural networks to classify images in American sign language. I am also interested in the theoretical work of computer science, for my senior thesis I applied topological and analytical techniques to Higman’s Lemma, a fundamental result in theoretical computer science, this resulted in the creation of an alternate proof using analysis rather than algebra. I am excited to leverage these skills to help others succeed.

While at Haverford, I took on a role as a teaching assistant in a computational biology course, helping upper-level biology students implement computational methods in Python. I have found helping guide students in developing problem-solving skills, and witnessing their growth and confidence in mastering concepts and code to be very rewarding. Other experience surrounding teaching includes two summers working as an overnight camp counselor, where I planned, organized, and led a series of multi-day, overnight backpacking trips into wilderness, including hiking, canoeing, and rock climbing, ensuring safety and promoting team-building skills. Finally, I worked as a babysitter whilst on campus, and during high school I served as a math tutor for three years.

I feel well prepared to teach on other subjects as well as test prep and general study skills.
