"Hola! I am a native Spanish speaker from Arizona and have spent much of my early childhood in Mexico. I first started tutoring and working as a TA in 2009, preparing high school students for AP Spanish exams, literature and language studies, research paper writing in Spanish using APA and MLA formatting, and also conversational Spanish. Every culture has its own nuances and there is a wealth of knowledge expressed through their languages. I find the deepest fulfillment seeing my students explore a new world of information. As their language skills improve they discover concepts that simply cannot be translated.

Currently, I help operate a small translation company as a project manager and senior translator for Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. My business is based in the Southwest US and my work has made me exceptionally familiar with a wide variety of cultural and regional colloquialisms. My clients expect the highest quality translations along with clear and concise explanations of idiomatic expressions. My experience in this profession has honed my skills in providing this same experience to my students.
