"Math and science knowledge excites and inspires me. When I see math problems, I can visualize multiple approaches to get to the solution. I love breaking down complex science concepts into tangible analogies. There is art and beauty in creative problem solving in math and science, and it is my pleasure to share this enthusiasm in the context of achieving high scores on important Regents, SAT/ACT, SAT II subject tests, and AP exams.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in human development from Cornell University and a Master of Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University. I moved on to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Touro College of Dental Medicine and am now a pediatric dental resident at St. Barnabas Hospital.

I also trained as a mental health counselor, so I can empathize with students to overcome adverse feelings about confidence or skills. This achieves an authentic, human connection with students, so I can better serve their needs.

My math background is extensive. When I was a student at Bronx High School of Science, I was a member of math team and received an 800 on the SAT math and 790 on the SAT Math Level II Subject Test. I have tutored all levels of math, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. I've been a Mathnasium instructor and helped students K-12 succeed in Common Core and recognize shortcuts to do math more quickly and accurately.

In sciences, I tutor biology, chemistry, and psychology on the high school and college (AP) level. I'm happy to teach these topics with applications to health and medicine.

When I took my SAT, I scored in the 99th percentile. I have taught several SAT and ACT classes and improved the test scores of many students. I tutor all 3 sections of the new SAT, all 4 sections the ACT, and the essays on both tests. I can work with students on study plans and test taking strategies to maximize their score.
