"I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science from Cornell University in 2022. I majored in Biological Science with a concentration of Cellular and Molecular Biology and had minors in Inequality Studies and Asian American Studies. I am matriculating into medical school this summer (2024).

While applying for medical school, I mentored high school students to apply for college and helped them with ACT and SAT prep. As a first generation low income student, I believe in the access to quality education and opportunities, so I want to be able to give students all the resources and support they need. I make lesson plans ahead of time and try to connect any topics to real life applications to make it more relatable. I leave a lot of time for practice questions and to allow students to ask questions too.

In high school, I worked with Kumon and tutored elementary school and middle school students in Writing/Reading and Math. I also tutored my high school peers in Calculus, Psychology, Biology and Chemistry. I was a teaching assistant for my biochemistry class in college. I really enjoy teaching Biology and Chemistry because I want to make daunting science topics more digestible.
