"Teaching for young and old should invite the learner and provide meaningful practice. My experience as an elementary and middle school teacher over 26 years in Florida gives me insight into differing learning styles and stumbling blocks for the learner. After diagnosis, the learning situation should be structured to help the learner know they can succeed in the task at hand. Targeted instruction and practice with feedback assist the learner in attaining the skills needed. I especially enjoy hands-on lessons in math or reading.
