"I have been an independent filmmaker for about 35 years. I have directed numerous feature films, fiction and doc, and have worked in reality television. I taught directing and screenwriting for 22-years at the New York Film Academy and have taught at Montclair State University for the last 7 years. I hold an MFA from UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. I am excellent at critiques whether it be a screenplay, rough cut fine cut, production book or you just want to bounce creative ideas. I am an excellent out of the box thinker and can really get you to think about filmmaking in a very unique way.
I am honest, direct, yet compassionate. My goal is to make you into better artists, social observers and filmmakers. Sometimes it isn't easy hearing what I have to say, but I am your mirror reminding and guiding you.
A few years ago a student told me at a graduation ceremony that he did not like me at first. I asked him why and he told me that I had taken him way out of his creative comfort zone. He said at first it felt so uncomfortable but then slowly it began to feel more comfortable. Exactly. Bravo!
