"I'm Thomas. I'm a bilingual teacher with a master's in education from William & Mary and more than six years' experience teaching in a dual-language elementary school in DCPS. Most of my classroom years have been in grades K-2, but I have taught at all elementary levels, as well as summer programs for middle and high school. Most of my adult education experience is in language instruction, emotional regulation, and time management.

My goal in tutoring is to foster self-efficacy and independence. I believe that incorporating the body in lessons keeps us engaged and improves our recall. Drawing on embodied pedagogies, I offer time-management skills development in addition to academic instruction; I'm especially skilled at teaching language acquisition, reading and phonics, and elementary mathematics.
