"I am currently working as a middle school math teacher, teaching grades 6-8, from pre-algebra, to algebra 1, through geometry. Previously I have worked at the high school level, mostly focusing on algebra 2 and pre-calculus. I truly enjoy helping math learners uncover their own negative dispositions toward the subject by helping them build confidence through sound strategies and building blocks. My favorite moments are helping a student move from complete frustration and confusion to the overwhelming satisfaction of knowing "I can do this!"
I consistently hear from my students that they appreciate finally "understanding" the material after working with me. This stems from my desire to never rush a student through any topic. I am patient, encouraging and supportive in helping students define and reach their goals.
