"Homeschooling my three daughters for the last eighteen years, my life revolves around loving them and teaching them. Reading, writing, literature analysis and all things English, delight our family and provide joy and discussion around our dinner table most evenings. Three different students with different learning styles challenged my abilities as a teacher at times, but my resulting interactive learning methods, writing models and diagnostic tools accommodate the most neophyte writer and most fledgling reader. My older daughters scored near perfect (1600) on their reading and writing scores for SAT! Your student will achieve mastery of reading/writing in my tutoring environment, as well.

Delivering the “missing link” concept of grammar, or spelling, or writing, or literature, to a frustrated student differentiates my instruction methods from any other tutoring method. When your pupil recognizes and places these “missing links” into his existing academic framework of English, an attitude of confidence emerges and the desire to write and read increases. Augmented reading desire signals increased academic appetite and improved grades!

When majoring in Communications at Baylor University, my passion for Speech and Journalism spawned compassion for the communicators in a our newly-created technological age. So when I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1986, I immediately entered the world of teaching adults how to communicate in a digital world. My writing expertise came in handy as I taught word-processing skills of different software programs to classrooms of professionals who now needed to create their annual reports, performance brochures, and training manuals via desktop publishing. From the classroom, a tutoring business rapidly emerged and carried my career until Mommy time, when I took off the career hat and put on the mothering one when I birthed my first child with husband, Robert.
