My favorite part about tutoring is watching students understand a concept -- that "aha" moment gives me a sense of satisfaction like no other! I believe teaching is the best way to truly understand a concept, and there is so much beauty in being able to share that sense of understanding with others. My teaching style has always been very interactive; from asking questions to gauge understanding to making quirky analogies, I love making sure whoever I tutor feels engaged throughout the lesson!

I'm currently a senior computer science major at Rice University, and I have been a teaching assistant for our program design, algorithmic thinking & data structures class. I have experience working in machine learning at Apple and software engineering at Fidelity. I have interviewed at the new grad level with Meta, Stripe, Bloomberg, and other top tech companies. I am willing to advise on internships, interviewing, and other parts of the recruiting process.

In terms of pre-college experience, I have tutored math privately at the high school level for Geometry, Algebra, and Statistics. I have 8+ years of experience and have volunteered 50+ hours tutoring various subjects in math & science at my high school, including all math subjects up to AP Calculus BC and various levels of science coursework. I received an 800 on the math section of the SAT, and an 800 on the Math II and Physics SAT subject tests. I have also taught math & reading to younger students at Kumon.
