"I am a graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.S. in Computer Science. I'm currently working as a Quantitative Developer for Fidelity Investments. Teaching and helping others has always been a passion of mine, and I spent two and a half years working as a teaching assistant for various 100-300-level computer science courses. The topics I have tutored for include (but are not limited to) C++ program design, object oriented design, and computer science fundamentals. Receiving tutoring and tutoring others gave me valuable perspective that allows me to be as effective as possible in teaching others important and complex topics.
I have extensive work experience in a wide variety of fields, including software engineering for TransUnion, one of the 3 major credit bureaus in the U.S. My job primarily deals with C++, and I have also worked on various personal projects in C++ that leverage the advantages of modern C++ constructs (C++11/14). I'm very patient and prioritize the understanding and application of topics over memorization. I do not do the work for my students; I help my students work through the problems themselves.
Computer Languages I tutor: C, C++, and Java
