"I am a current 7th year high school mathematics teacher in Morris County, NJ, who specializes in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Probability & Statistics. I attended Marist College where I was a double major in pure mathematics & economics. I began tutoring as a junior in college and have continued since. After graduating college, I completed the alternate route program to earn my teaching certification while simultaneously earning a masters degree in Secondary Education.

In college, I tutored subjects including Calculus 1-3, Intro to Statistics, and high school math. Since starting my teaching career 7 years ago, I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Probability & Statistics, and AP Statistics. I have also tutored in all of these subject areas as well as in Geometry. I have tutored both high school and college students. Generally, I have tutored in a 1-on-1 setting and have completed many successful sessions tutoring online. I have had great success with many students from helping them pass current math courses they are in, to passing placement tests, or acing math sections on tests for jobs, such as electrical exams or Civil Service tests.

My tutoring philosophy is much like my teaching philosophy. I believe in utilizing teacher modeling, student replication, and lots and lots of practice. I believe the student learns best by seeing and then doing. By completing practice, with teacher guidance if needed, the student can learn from their mistakes and master skills." less...
