While I may be new to the tutoring profession, my past experiences and academic success allow me to provide adequate academic aid for K-6th. For instance, I have strong subject knowledge in reading and writing. Throughout college, I consistently received A+ grades on research and creative essays, using my work as examples by professors. As an entering law student, reading and writing skills are crucial, ensuring that my skill sets are sufficient! While my preferred subject is ELA, I am also open to tutoring Elementary Math and Science!
While I offer complete subject tuition, students are also welcome to take this tutoring session as homework help and test preparation only. For those taking complete course tuition, our first class will be a "placement session," where students will be given a quiz to determine their level. This will allow me to make a personalized study plan for the tutee to guarantee the most success based on their individual needs.
Their personal lesson plan will consist of level-based mini drills, educational games, homework assignments, and progress quizzes. I prioritize the Socratic Method of Tutoring. Rather than mindless lecturing, I want the student to be engaged in discussion and actively use thinking skills.
My experience as a camp counselor taught me effective communication skills when working with younger generations. Using patience and, most importantly, fun in conjunction with my academic excellence, I am bound to ensure your child takes education not to be boring but entertaining! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions; I try to answer clients within three hours. Let's get studying!" less...
