"Hello! My name is Natalya and I'm an MD/MPH candidate based in Arizona and a recent graduate of UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology and a minor in French. My passion for education stems from extensive experience throughout her undergraduate career working with underserved high school students and serving as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate public health course. My approach to MCAT tutoring is supported by my interdisciplinary experiences working in clinical research and crisis counseling reflecting competency in the sciences and interpersonal communication alike.
Over the years, I've shaped a philosophy on MCAT tutoring: my role is to help you harness your motivations for entering the field of medicine and guide the way towards your goal score. My experience using lots of different resources and my depth of experience with the AAMC practice materials means that I can shape your study plan without having to send you through the trial and error most students find along the way. While the MCAT is important, I heavily believe in the necessity to find a work-life balance - you can be a great student AND prioritize your hobbies and rest. Through hundreds of hours of tutoring, I have had the honor of supporting students of all backgrounds to create balanced study plans catered to each student’s strengths. Hopefully, I will soon have the honor of supporting you too!
I have over 600+ hours of MCAT tutoring experience across all four sections of the exam, but I specialize in working with students to target their specific weaknesses while allowing their strengths to shine. In my experience, all of my students have made a positive score improvement of 3-18 points by studying smart - not hard. I know how hard this experience as a pre-med can be, having recently gone through the process myself. As a first-generation college student, I self-studied from a 496 to 522 (132/130/130/130) on the MCAT and am eager to share my wisdom.
Every student is different so every student's approach shou" less...
