As a father of four, education has always been a cornerstone of my life. My oldest is completing medical school, while my other children are thriving in high school and middle school. I homeschooled them in their early years, reinforcing my passion for teaching and fostering “aha” moments that make learning truly rewarding.

Over the past 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of tutoring students from pre-K to graduate school in a wide range of subjects. My background spans multiple roles—including vascular ultrasound technologist, interpreter, translator, and language coach for English and Spanish. One of my most fulfilling teaching experiences was designing and delivering a Healthcare Interpreter Training course for the City University of New York, addressing the growing need for skilled interpreters in the NYC area.

Every student learns differently. In our first session, I assess the student’s learning style to tailor my approach for maximum effectiveness. I prioritize building trust and rapport to create a comfortable, productive learning environment. For younger students, I collaborate with parents to understand their child’s strengths, challenges, and goals—ensuring a customized, results-driven tutoring experience.

Beyond subject tutoring, I also serve as an academic coach, helping students improve confidence, motivation, organization, study habits, and test-taking strategies.
