"I am a data engineer with 6 years of diverse experience. I've worked with various organizations, in contexts such as finance, biotechnology, and telecommunications. Because of this wide range of experiences, I'm very adaptable, and work well with just about anyone.
My educational background is in Systems Engineering and Data Science. I earned both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree at the University of Southern California.
Computer science and statistics are my specialties, but I also tutor mathematics. I tutor in all these subjects at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate level. My past tutoring clients have included undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford University, as well as high school seniors and financial professionals.
My tutoring style is patient, flexible, supportive and highly communicative. I tend to emphasize principles and concepts over rules and memorization. I use metaphor, analogy, pictures, and words as much as symbols and equations to both explain material and help solve problems. I believe that the ability to effectively select and use the right tools for a problem follows from a solid understanding of the concepts involved, and not the other way around.
I work to help students not only learn to do math and formulations, but to understand them, and in doing so, hope to impart to students some appreciation for their beauty and truth.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you achieve success in your studies!" less...
