"Hello, my name is Nik! I graduated magna cum laude with a double-major Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Entrepreneurship from Loyola University Chicago. While in college, I realized the classes I enjoyed most were not necessarily because of the subject material (unless you really enjoy accounting), but rather the professors who made classes fun and engaging. Their abilities to connect real-world examples to subject matter, encourage questions, offer extended office hours and crack the occasional joke are what I intend to adopt towards my own tutoring approach.

Currently I work full time as a data engineering consultant in the IT space. I specialize in sql, data modeling and building analytical dashboards (Tableau and Power BI specifically). I’ve organized training workshops with coworkers, educating them about past client experiences or how to use specific data analytical tools.

When it comes to my tutoring approach, practice, practice, practice is what I will always encourage. I intend to thoroughly teach the material, followed by practice problems and / or an open discussion for any questions a student may have. Or if a student needs specific help on an assignment, I can provide support there too.
