"I earned a bachelor's and master's degree in Physics from UCLA (#1 public university in the US). Outside of my physics studies I took many computer science, machine learning, statistics courses. Following my Master's degree I completed a machine learning engineering bootcamp, became a certified expert in data structures and algorithms, and began working as a Data Scientist at a top Fintech company in Silicon Valley. In my day to day work I design, develop, and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse "big data" sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement.

I am a strong programmer who uses Python and SQL daily in my job, and I frequently use scientific and data analytic packages (SciPy, NumPy, pandas, matplotlib).

I have always loved helping others learn how to approach problems and master difficult subjects. I'm a huge fanatic for physics and mathematics, I taught at UCLA for two years at the undergraduate level. I have helped students at all levels of expertise and ability, and I earned the highest ratings possible for a graduate teaching assistant at UCLA. I enhanced students' ability in understanding core physics principles, computational and statistical techniques for data analysis in Python, and effective scientific communication. I mentored 100+ students for six college quarters.

I have also been a private Python programming instructor for over two years, teaching those with no experience in programming to develop complex games. I offer individual coding lessons for beginners to intermediate level programmers.

I have also been tutoring chess for over four years, devising learning strategies and assisting in tournament preparation. I offer individual and group chess lessons for beginners to advanced level players.
