"I'm Deanna S, and I hold a B.S. in Biochemistry from La Sierra University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was part of the University Honors Program. As a recent graduate, my knowledge of chemistry and algebra is fresh, and I am eager to help you excel in these subjects. I understand that everyone has a unique learning style, and I am dedicated to tailoring my teaching approach to suit your individual needs.

During my undergraduate studies, I conducted research in both physical organic chemistry and biochemistry. In my physical organic chemistry lab, I worked extensively with titrations, UV-visible spectroscopy, and density functional theory calculations to determine pKa values of allantoin and other analogs. For my biochemistry research, I introduced single amino acid mutations to beta-glucosidase and evaluated its catalytic efficiency and thermal stability compared to the wild type. I've presented this research through posters at my university and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). These experiences have equipped me with the skills to break down complex topics into understandable concepts for learners at all levels.

Additionally, my roles as a Resident Assistant, STEM Mentor, and university event planner have helped me develop strong interpersonal skills, making me approachable, friendly, and patient. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and am committed to helping you succeed.
