"I'm Christina! I Graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Aeronautics. I focused on international relations and the training environment. I also earned my private pilot license, my commercial drone certificate, and ground instructor certificates for advanced and instrument instruction (FAA). At the end of my degree program, I became interested in Aviation English and earned my Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Liberty University with a 4.0. All through my life, I have interacted with diverse cultures and I love learning about the cultures of my students.

While earning my pilot certificate, I realized I enjoyed simplifying complex concepts for peer students. to help them understand. A flight student once told me I taught them better than their flight instructor.

During my teaching journey, I have taught spoken English to primary students in Ethiopia and tutored adults in Ethiopia. I have taught adult Amharic and Spanish speakers in America in both tutoring and classroom environments. While earning my TESL degree, I created an ESL course for Spanish speakers in my community. I taught and assessed the class focusing on the personal goals of my students.

Additionally, I have 10 years of experience as a home educator and curricula designer for my students based on their interests, strengths, and weaknesses.

My teaching style is to informally and formally assess those I tutor to help them find the best path forward for their goals. I focus on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency. I use a combination of communication and task-based lessons to increase my student's confidence. I have had success increasing student confidence through one-on-one tutoring which allows them to practice and increase their language skills in the real world.
