"Hi! I’m Bridgette, a dedicated math tutor with over two years of experience helping students overcome challenges and build confidence in math. My journey as an educator has allowed me to work with a diverse group of students, including many from marginalized communities. Witnessing students transform their frustration into understanding and their hesitation into confidence has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science. My academic background enables me to approach math tutoring with a strong understanding of how mathematical principles can be applied in real-world scenarios, which helps make lessons more engaging and relatable for students. My experience as a leader and mentor in academic organizations has further strengthened my ability to guide students in a way that supports their growth both academically and personally.
With over two years of fulltime experience tutoring at the college level, I specialize in helping students master Algebra I and II, as well as foundational math concepts. I have also recently begun tutoring middle school-aged students, introducing them to pre-algebra and building early confidence in their math skills. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, I strive to provide patient, personalized support tailored to each student’s unique learning style. I break down complex topics into manageable steps, fostering both understanding and long-term confidence.
My goal is to create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and embrace challenges. Whether you’re working to improve your grades, preparing for exams, or simply looking to strengthen your math skills, I’m here to help you succeed. Let’s work together to achieve your goals!" less...
