Hi, my name is Jonathan. I have been a certified teacher for over 20 years now and have been tutoring privately for 22 years. I hold two Bachelor's degrees as well as a Master's degree in Quality Educational Strategies. I have taught here in Michigan as well as in Florida, England, and Mexico. I have taught every grade level from second grade up through university level, primarily focusing on math (specializing in Algebra/Algebra II and Geometry), science (Biology, Chemistry, and Astronomy), Spanish, ESOL (with TOEFL test preparation), and English/Language arts. As a Spanish and English Language (ESOL) teacher, I teach using the Comprehensable Input methodology developed by Dr. Stephen Krashen. This proven method has students acquire the language instead of memorizing it. If you have ever wondered why you don't remember any Spanish from high school after taking four years of it, most likely you memorized vocabulary lists and grammar rules. This is not how people acquire language.
