"I am an elementary educator who has experience working with students in various grades. When I first enrolled in college, my intention was to pursue a career in nonprofit work. I hoped to work with children and support them through education or similar endeavors. However, that plan changed my last year of school when I worked in a preschool. After that experience, I realized that teaching was the career path for me.

Once I decided to become a teacher, I enrolled in courses to earn my teaching license. During my coursework, I became familiar with the basics of the Montessori method and learned phonics teaching strategies such as Orton-Gillingham and Kendore. I successfully completed my schooling and became certified to teach grades K-6.

My teaching experience includes two years as a first grade teacher and a covering a long-term substitute position for fourth grade.
