"Hello, I’m David! I have a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and a Masters of Science in Finance, both from Brandeis University. As an undergraduate I excelled in Economics and was selected as a teaching assistant for Public Sector Economics, a very difficult high-level class. As a teaching assistant I helped dozens of students with the challenging course material, particularly before exams. After graduating I have accumulated hundreds of hours of experience tutoring students, primarily in one-on-one online settings on other tutoring platforms. I specialize in economics and finance, but can also answer general questions about excel, since it is used so heavily in those disciplines.

My approach is personalized and student centered. During our time together I will assess your level of knowledge and adjust the difficulty of the material to present an appropriate learning curve. My approach to teaching is to break the material up into digestible units, moving forward with each one only after it is clear that you have gained a comprehensive understanding of the material. I find that this reduces stress and anxiety in my students. Whether you are hung up on the broader concepts, critical details, or the mathematical minutia, we will find a way forward together!
