"My love of teaching and children is seen by the way I am invested in educating them in a way that is specifically individualized to suit their specific learning style. My experience is in public and private education settings, providing functional assessments, curriculum development, and the implementation and execution of IEPs across special education. I've worked with students on the autism spectrum, and those with developmental disabilities, ADHD, and learning disabilities. This fosters patient guidance so that my clients develop a love for learning that enhances their ability to be educationally and socially successful. I am a motivated, high-energy collaborative individual with experience combining behavioral interventions with developmentally appropriate educational standards.
I specialize in elementary education in the areas of reading, science, and writing. I believe it takes a special person to educate while connecting personally with students. This person must encompass a special passion and commitment to help each individual child find their way through their unique educational maze. This is achieved by providing an adaptive curriculum that meets not only educational standards but allows for purposeful functional educational learning experiences for each student embraces my philosophy in keeping students engaged and excited about learning, supporting them in developing and continuing to build upon mastered skills that are essential to live full and functionally productive lives.
I consider myself an effective leader. I believe that in past positions I have worked hard to create warm, supportive relationships with students, colleagues, and the families of my students. This involves skills surrounding active listening, demonstration of respect, and incorporating appropriate ideas into proposed plans for implementing educational supports to students. I try to be as flexible as possible. I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy.
I look forward to learning about you and helping you through y" less...
