Prior to college, I was a competitive national tennis player and touring drummer. Entering college at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, I fell in love with science and decided to pursue a career in medicine. In undergrad, I published manuscripts in Biochemistry and Endocrinology. I graduated magna cum laude with numerous honors from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Following graduation, I was accepted to the Wake Forest School of Medicine for medical school. In med school, I received numerous honors for academic excellence and scored ~95th percentile on USMLE Step 1 (258) while publishing 15 manuscripts in the dermatology literature. I was accepted to a competitive dermatology residency position at the Wake Forest School of Medicine Dermatology where I am currently completing my training.

Throughout high school, college, and medical school, I valued the importance of strong mentorship in navigating the complex and competitive medical training pipeline.
