"My interest in design started back in middle school when I wanted to figure out how to add wings to my laptop selfies. This interest fueled my desire to attend The University of Tampa where I received my B.F.A. in Graphic Design with a minor in Animation. I gained practical skills and a solid understanding of design principles. UT's curriculum covered foundational topics such as color theory, typography, and industry-standard programs like the Adobe Creative Suite. I mastered the ability to hone a brand's identity, think outside the box, and stay current with industry trends.

I have since gained 6+ years of professional experience (including my current job as a Graphic Designer at DreamWorks) working in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro. I have designed everything from logos/icons, to movie theater menus, print publications, short animations, web content, and illustrations. The Adobe suite has such versatile programs that (with the right coaching) can be the perfect medium for all your creative endeavors.

My approach to tutoring design is very hands-on. I prefer to create projects out of my sessions or help with a pre-existing project because I believe diving straight into the water is the best way to learn how to swim!
