I've been an AP grader and an AP teacher.

As an experienced AP grader, I offer instructive and positive feedback to students that helps them develop strong test-taking skills, especially writing skills and multiple choice questions. I have graded all 3 kinds of written questions: SAQs, DBQs and LEQs.

As an experienced AP educator, I have taught and tutored these subjects for 10 years before joining Wyzant. I am very familiar with the difficulties encountered by students especially writing and recalling content. Sessions usually include critical reading, critical thinking and self-expression in the content areas. I help you build your fluency. And I have a way of making complicated things easy to understand.

As you know, your written score is 60% of your total AP test grade. Further, the College Board considers writing important enough that it published its own rubrics. I can work with you to be sure that your writing complies with the rubrics to boost your score. I have also taught academic writing at California Lutheran University since 2010. I can help you incorporate good writing practices into your work. So for all of these reasons I stress the need for clear writing based on the skills we will develop.

Since joining with Wyzant in 2021, I have logged 800+ tutoring hours . I have received 170 evaluations and 98% of them are 5-star rating ( 4.9/5). I have taught and tutored these subjects for 10+ years before joining Wyzant. I am easy going and I am committed to your success.
