I'm Samantha! I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design in 2021. I am an online Digital Art and Graphic Design tutor here on Wyzant. I specialize in Procreate, Canva, and Microsoft Office. Additionally, I provide tutoring for essays and creative writing.

I work with both kids and adults. Every student has different needs, which is why I strive to tailor my teaching to your personal academic level and needs. I love giving students of all ages the tools to succeed and fostering that inherent love of learning.

Work experience:

Previously, I worked as an instructional assistant in a middle school special education classroom and later as a 1-on-1 homeschooling tutor. Working with kids is a passion of mine and I enjoyed both positions immensely! As an instructional assistant at the local middle school, I taught small classes of 3 to 4 students in special education.

Working as a private homeschooling tutor was another experience entirely! I taught in the student's home from a curriculum selected by her parent. I guided her through all subjects: math, handwriting, science, and more! Independence was a high priority here. When my student was capable of working independently on a subject, I stepped back and merely monitored her progress. Most weeks, we were able to finish a week's worth of material in two 4-hour days. This was largely due to the supportive family environment and my student's strong work ethic - and she was only a second grader!
