"I started life as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. After practicing for a number of years I went to law school and became an Attorney. I practiced law until I realized that what I was doing as a doctor and a lawyer was teaching my patients, clients, and jurors. I went back to school and obtained my Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education for Biology. I have taught High School for two years now and want to help more students but on a one-to-one basis.
Every student is different and requires a different approach for them to learn. Working with a classroom of 30+ students I had to use different techniques concurrently to reach them. With such big classes, I worried that I may not be able to reach everyone but thankfully I did, as reflected in the 90% passing rate of my students for the Living Environment Regents.
One of the biggest things about teaching is the ability to adapt. This is a trait that I have honed throughout the years. When working one-on-one, it is a lot easier to adapt to a student's needs.
With my background, I am able to tutor in General Science, Living Environment/Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, MCAT, and much more as it relates to science, medicine, and law.
I look forward to working with you and your child in advancing their learning. Please feel free to contact me at any time and expect a prompt response." less...
