"I'm Nalaka! I graduated from the University of Peradeniya with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. Which is a 4-year degree with including all the types of chemistry courses such as general chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and biochemistry as well. I obtained my degree with departmental honours for the best performances. During that time I have worked as a chemistry tutor for high school students. Afterwards, I got hired as a teaching assistant in the same university where I taught lab classes as well as paper classes for chemistry undergraduate students.

Then I get entered the University of Mississippi to pursue my PhD degree in chemistry. During that 5 years of period, I have gain lots of experience in teaching undergraduate students as well as graduate students as well. Moreover, I have mentored several undergraduate and graduate students in the laboratory where I have done my research. During that time I have published several (10+) peer review articles in highly reputed journals about my research findings and followed several graduate-level course works including all the aspects of chemistry.

I have obtained an outstanding organic graduate award from the American Chemical Society local section due to my best performances in research. Also, I have obtained a graduate achievement award from the University of Mississippi for my best performances in course work and research. After graduation, I have entered Saint Louis University to gain more experiences in my career where I have worked as a Postdoctoral fellow for one year. Where I have mentored graduate students and undergraduate students as well.

Currently, I'm working as a college professor and teaching a number of students. My specializations are general chemistry, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry.
