"Hello! I'm Hayley. I am a historian, a former APUSH teacher, and a current AP Reader, where I score AP exams for College Board. I have a BA in history from American University, and an MA in history from Boston College. UC Irvine admitted me to the Department of History as a PhD student, but I left with a second MA instead, and then moved back to my home state to teach!

I know first hand what many US states restrict being taught in history classes, and unfortunately, even if your child is doing very well in class, there is a lot of material on the exam that their teachers are not legally allowed to teach them in school. I teach real history, flaws and triumphs, and I know what your kid needs to know to get a four or five on the exam.
